  • Beautiful Church overlooking a pretty square always animated. The Church is the reference point of the Ukrainian community and recalls baroque and neoclassical elements. To visit the interior even if you can not make videos or photos.

  • The best place for prayer for byzantine catholic and orthodox cristian
  • I went few times. Much better than the usual tourist traps around this area. No 5 stars because of the service. Food is great.
  • Byzantine right. Singing as though heaven is on this earth and here now. Rarely moved to tears but alas here they flow freely.
  • Beautiful little russian church on the Monti square.
  • The church is dedicated to two holy Syrian martyrs, officers of the Roman army, martyred in303 under the Emperor Diocletian. It has ancient origins, already remembered in 796in a biography of Pope Leo III as Oratium sanctorum Sergi et Bacchi quod ponitur in Calinico; and mentioned again in the IXe in the 11th century as Ecclesia s. Sergii in Suburra. The church over the centuries was assigned by the popes to various convents and monasteries, until Urban VIII finally assigned it to the Basilian Romanian monks, who still own it today. From a Marian image discovered in 1718 under the plaster of the wall adjacent to the shrine and placed in 1730 on the main altar, the church was also called La Madonna del Pascolo. It was following this discovery that in 1741 some faithful financed the reconstruction of the church. The church today is the National Church of the Ukrainians. Of great interest is the iconostasis, which separates the central aisle from the presbytery, with gold-bottomed paintings.
