  • The nice group of "Holy Family" stands unchallenged in the middle of a large photographic Panel, placed during the Christmas holidays to the left of who enters the "Chiesa degli Artisti" in piazza del Popolo, at his side, almost an "alter ego" of the classic Angel Baroque iconography, the white figure of a very young "Pierrot lunaire" anxiously contemplating the "Divine Child". All around, under a white canopy that frames the scene unfolds winged movement Orchestra "circus": realistic figures but along fantastic-that give life to a highly imaginative Crib. A real "Christmas tale," sprung from the imagination of Fiorenzo Niccoli (a "poet of photography" ...) and implemented with the participation of the students of the "Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia in Rome and the artistic supervision of multi Pietro Tosi. A set of varied and colorful costumes: Ethereal and delicate, dark and rigorous frac pepli, panty, red liveries, golden frogs, tulle Ruffs, hats of every shape and age ... And wider scene tricks theatrical tradition: biacche, bistri, fake noses, ribbons, butterfly wings, satin ribbons and garlands of flowers. And what about the ensemble of musical instruments. From lira to the violins, from accordions to clarini, from six districts at trumpets and flutes ... Everyone seems to sing in unison a sublime music that has nothing to envy to that of the angelic hosts of Fra Angelico or Piero della Francesca. An unusual composition-extraordinary and intense in its modernity-that would make the joy of the great Federico Fellini and filling with curiosity and fascination the faithful and tourists visiting the beautiful Roman basilica.

  • It is also known as the "Church of the artists", as the Sunday mass is celebrated attended by characters of art and culture, but also cinema and television celebrity funerals. Built in the 17th century for will of the then Pope Alexander VII, is elliptical, with 6 side chapels. Not very big but undeniably impressive.
