  • Look and admire, the famous Roman walls, nowadays it is something exceptional and awesome at the same time. You perceive its true history of Rome since its inception, in fact are the famous city walls that marked the city Aurelian, as the most famous are those ... are famous doors of the walls, to name a few Porta Portese, Porta Pia. Must see!

  • Enjoy the remnants of the walls of Rome is an amazing experience. In various parts of the city, one can find beautiful remains of the wall. It is worth looking for.

  • Features, a step back in time. Shame about the lack of protection and preservation of this heritage pica. And I speak not only as a tourist but as a citizen of Rome. Unfortunately now have become a toilet in the open, a hideout for window washer and merchant services that hide them their gear. It should be of some interest on the part of those responsible and protect those things. Still beautiful!

  • We stayed at bed and breakfast two nights, if you booked by phone. We had asked if there was a private bath and there was told to do the bathroom is shared for 4 double or triple rooms. A situation from hostel, but with prices from bed and breakfast with some claim. Dirty room, dirty linen left bathroom (sheets and towels stained with blood), dirty rooms and tiny areas (the chandeliers have been cleaned from 10 years or so). Blankets that smelled bad and had obvious spots. Very noisy because the Windows overlook Via La Spezia, central to the traffic of St. John. Terrible experience, not coming back ever again. I advise anyone not to go, there are plenty of cosy, clean and comfortable bed and breakfast in the area, the same figure.

  • Unfortunately, in front of the building are doing the work of the subway and you dig even at night. Why should lower the price!

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
