  • This bridge has great sculpture groups on the long sides and at the ends is the adorned with high plinths with huge bronze statues of the goddess with wings. From the bridge it's great views of Castel St. Angelo. This great great bridge connects the historic centre with the district closest to the Vatican. It was inaugurated in 1911og have three arches and has a span of 108 meters. It is in memory of Vittorio Emanuele II.

  • Beautiful bridge leading the way to Vatican. Nothing too special to see on its own. Beautiful statues.  more »
  • After visiting the Vatican, he crossed the Tiber from a few bridges that you can use to switch to the good one. Decorated with beautiful sculptures; There's an imposing entry outside views even better.

  • Great view over the river and Castel Sant'Angelo.
  • I'm not too sure what to say... It's a bridge. I mean - it was comfortable to walk on, I guess...
  • You can see it better on Pont SantAngelo
  • This bridge is also nice and you will have a nice view of Sant'Angelo bridge and castle from here.
  • Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II is a bridge in Rome constructed to designs of 1886 by the architect Ennio De Rossi. Construction was delayed, and it was not inaugurated until 1911. The bridge across the Tiber connects the historic centre of Rome with theVatican City. The bridge commemorating Vittorio Emanuele II of Italy is carried in three arches spanning a distance of 108 metres. It is decorated at the ends with high socles carrying colossal bronze winged Victories and over each of the piers with massive allegorical travertine sculptural groups
