Look over the rooftops of Rome at Passeggiata di Gianicolo, set on a hill that extends all the way to the Basilica of St. Peter. You'll be high enough to see the major monuments and smaller side streets. Every day at noon a single cannon announces midday from the hill. For a preview of your visit, watch the opening scene of the film "The Great Beauty," which shows the attraction in all its glory. Passeggiata di Gianicolo is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Rome Edition.

  • Well on TV, been featured so that's really nice views. It is romantic. I think many of the local people. Who sell flowers or their POV stick was I don't see too much was too much. The drinks can be quite slow.
