  • This church from the 6th century and it is really great. It is not so well known amongst tourists so here goes a lot of missing out on a very beautiful church. It has a fantastic Baroque ceilings which are painted in 1707 by Baciccio Triumph. Another great work is the monumental tomb of Pope Clemente XIV by Antonio Canova (1787) which is located in the last chapel on the left side. To the right of the high altar are the tombs of count Giraud de Caprières (died 1505) and the Cardinal Raffaele Riario (died 1474), tentatively linked to Michelangelo. Under the high altar is a large and beautiful crypt. The ceiling in the sacristy is decorated by the Venetian Sebastiano Ricci.

  • Lovely sedated church from the outside with the statues of the 12 Apostles. Would have loved to have seen the inside.
  • What a gem! This church has a crypt which is accessible and it contains the tomb of the Apostles St. Phillip and St. James. Beautiful church.
  • Hidden treasure in Rome! Be sure to visit the crypt.
  • Beat things to see here include Michelangelo's Moses and the chains that held St. Peter. The church is amazing inside as are all the churches in Rome. Absolutey breathe taking
  • Definitely amazing but known as the backdrop for many
