  • Morning at around 10 am from the hotel near the station went by foot. Station entrance (meaning that the other side of the Coliseum), have quietly, was going in a little courage. Or to take a photo of the Colosseum with groups approaching the Colosseum and becomes lively, the peace of mind. Green, Colosseum nice nice to walk. I think this park as well as running, but a little less busy hours, such as anxiety.

  • The Park would have excellent prospects (has a lovely view of the Colosseum), its main problems are the degradation, carelessness and sloppiness that is abandoned. In addition, the Park has some points that are even discouraged tourists because dangerous and full of bivouacs

  • Nice but too bad the grime and neglect of this area, a jewel of the times that is lost in time

  • A nice park to visit with some nice places to sit down in the shade and a little playground for children. A little hard to get to with a wheelchair and a big part is not accessible with a wheelchair.
  • Could be a beautiful park located next to the colossseum but it is clearly not looked after and we all felt a little unsafe.
  • Park not really taken care of but playground area is actually pretty nice and decently taken care of. Nice to have found a playground next to the Colosseum.
  • Didn't feel comfortable walking through here with all the trashy ghetto people. Go around.
  • Certain areas of the park are beautiful, especially the fountain. Other areas are not as nice, however.

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
