  • we admired it from the outside, we wait for the moment, the privilege to enter! The marble plaque that claims the property, door, windows with grates, the brick facade, the portal overlaid by a balcony with iron balustrade. The elegant palace designed by Antonio da Sangallo for himself, inside works by Francesco Salviati and Pietro da Cortona.

  • Went for the Cortili Aperti Roma (open courtyards) on May 18, 2019. The garden was locked but you could see into it (it is stunning) from the gate; otherwise, you could walk through the courtyard area...  more »
  • Let's start by saying that Via Giulia was conceived and realized in order to open a new path in the heart of Rome. It soon became the most fashionable street, with the buildings of merchants and bankers and for the presence of the Florentine community, with its houses, churches and brotherhoods. Contextualized the concept, it is easy for us to understand why, passing from here, we are still to observe, numerous and concentrated, the noble palaces and places of prayer. Palazzo Sacchetti, a Renaissance building among the most beautiful in the city, with its large halls all frescoed according to the artistic trend that characterized the figurative culture of the period. Not to mention the ornate ceilings, marble statues, stained glass windows and gardens. Such a wealth of beautiful things capable of capturing all our attention, making us feel in a broth of jugs.
