  • The spectacular building, well kept and used as a Supreme Court, took the opportunity to go to Spain square Castle.

  • Building that houses the courthouse that stands out for its large size, its facade of travertine marble and its great bronze sculpture, also close at hand since it is the next bridge the of San Angelo, next to the river. Certainly worthwhile to walk along the promenade of the River, he is especially appreciated on hot days when looking for the shade of trees. With respect to the building, is one of the great unknown at least me that knew nothing of it when I was looking for information that you see in the city. It also highlights his Majesty from the top of the castle of St. Angelo.

  • The courthouse is a building undoubtedly impressive and massive, but the style of late 19th century/early 20th century building is elegant and testifies to an era in the history of our beautiful--indeed beautiful! -Country. Unfortunately, despite the large cubic capacity at its disposal, its current function is reduced to accommodate the only Supreme Court and cannot be visited internally unless extraordinary events. The reason is the lack of funding for a full restoration, which is necessary for security reasons. Even it was thought to bring it down, but apparently this was more expensive and, personally, I think it was better that way. It is true that in Rome there are zillions of important monuments, but the view from the front side, Tiber with foot marble statues and the bronze quadriga on top, is a postcard that deserves ... Intervention is desirable as soon as possible to retrieve the external decoration, at least one, a symbol of the unification of Italy and its capital. And then, it will be as well "-or er-Palazzaccio", but we like it!

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
