It should be remembered that the school building, or the Mint was built on an existing building built by Bramante; the Sangallo. • The facade of the old building of the Papal Mint is due to Antonio da Sangallo the younger, who, on behalf of Leo, completed it in 1524. In the niche there is an inscription in Latin: A SEMP MEM PAULO V ERECTAM HAS IN AEDES A CLEM VII MEDICE CUDENDIS NUMMIS DESTINATAS AB ALEXANDRO VII NOVA STRUCTIONE MUNITAS CLEMENS IX PONT MAX FELICIBUS AUSPICIIS THE STABLE YEAR DOMAINS MDCLXVII " That in Italian means, that in 1867, Pope Clement IX, had the bench of Santo Spirito transported here. Above the inscription is the coat of arms of the "Banco di Santo Sspirito" In the upper part of the niche there is a leonine protome. The upper part of the façade is crowned by an imposing coat of arms by Paolo V supported by two volutes and adorned with floral garlands, completing the top of the building, two large statues placed on the sides. At the beginning of the XVII century this palace hosted, the important bank had a considerable importance,
