  • The Obelisk of Minerva has as its base a little elephant and is located in the square opposite the Church of Santa Maria. The meanings are multiple, overall is an architectural element that enriches the whole square

  • Though small, this Obelisk draws attention by the elephant by Bernini that sustains it. In front of the Church of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, impossible not to see him

  • The square is very famous in Rome, as well as the statue of the elephant and the many allegorical meanings in it. Recently it has been restored and then restored to its original splendor.

  • Very weird and very funny :) i don't really know how to describe this place. You can seat next to it to watch it and try to understand. We didn't succeeded but you can try!
  • A fantastic land mark set in a beautiful square. Well worth seeing!
  • Had a great view of this pretty statue from the window of my suite. A great thing to wake up to each morning.
  • Wouldn't go out if my way to see it, but neat to see something that old. Dates from 1500BC Egypt
  • It's a fun little Bernini sculpture with found-object obelisk assemblage. Kind of surrealist for the 17th century, in my opinion. It's fanciful and very photogenic.
