  • Ideal to find fruits and exotic vegetables at reasonable prices, there are Middle Eastern and Indian restaurants in the vicinity.

  • I go very often to the esquilino market, and being a fan of Indian food I have not spoiled for choice with regards to the spices. I read that many say could be found elsewhere the variety of fruits and vegetables that are found here ... but it's not true. Can you possibly find elsewhere the zucchini Bengali called ampalaya? Fix, elsewhere, finding chiles Habanero, Rocoto, Green chilies and Aji amarillo??? Certainly many other small shops Bengalis (called "indianini") around Rome often have Green Chilies for example, but not always-and above all-not to the competitive prices of the esquilino market! Certainly then, such as plantains (green, yellow and black) and manioche, you would find them of course except at the esquilino market or neighboring stores! So it's not entirely true-as many claim,-that even in Italian supermarkets are the same things! Maybe by Eataly, but certainly not all the products of this fabulous market.

  • Very friendly atmosphere, Asian spice sellers often offer you one or two dates as a form of warm hospitality sign, whether you will buy or not anything for them.
  • I happened upon this market yesterday. It is huge, and sells everything fresh. Meat counter, fish counters, fruit, vegetable and ethnic food are all there and more than just one vendor for each. Bought quail eggs and a chunk of delicious local bread for 3 euros. Will be back there every time I am in Rome!
  • A market where practically all basic needs can be found...both western and eastern flavours. Cheap too it seems
  • You can find any thing here. The price also reasonable!
  • The best Market in Rome! Worth a visit!
