  • Even those who don't like art I think a passage to Palazzo Barberi i, tourist or Roman that it should do... Admiring raphael paintings, original sketches by Michelangelo and Bernini sculptures for nn talk about the famous helical staircase I think is worth much but much more than the entrance price... to see!!!

  • Great art gallery, must visit. Just be aware that currently many paintings are on loan. Still the place is nice and you can have a quick visit that worth it.  more »

  • Very rude staff. Most were ok. Some were really not. It’s not the tourist fault they had to wake up early and work on a Sunday. But they sure behave as though you’re a sinner for being there. The collection is good but the ticket is expensive for what they have there. They have more works by Caravaggio’s students then Caravaggio himself. The building itself is interesting, and the frescoes are the best part. If you don’t have a lot of time in Rome choose some other more interesting place to go. This place will take time and money and not reward you well. One third of the rooms were closed.
  • Such a beautiful place. The gates were open but the ticket office was closed so I walked through the open areas with other tourists. I didn't see inside but the outside area was so beautiful. The sculptures are amazing to see up close.
  • Not a large museum, but located in a beautiful building and featuring two spectacular paintings - Raphael's LA Fornarina and Caravaggio's Judith, along with other interesting artwork and sculptures.
  • A magnificent collection of art. Paintings and sculptures all beautifully displayed in exquisite rooms. Allow a couple of hours to fully appreciate this remarkable collection of historical masterpieces.
  • Some wonderful paintings and frescoes. I find many of the religious scenes quite funny but enjoy them nonetheless. However, the staff here are so po faced and miserable that any sign of enjoyment is viewed with deep suspicion. The ceiling frescoes are surely best appreciated whilst lying (briefly) on ones back on the benches but by the response of the staff you would have thought I had took a dump on the floor. Rome was busy during my visit but this marvellous gallery was virtually empty and this I'm sure, in part is due to the miserable attitude displayed by the staff which contributes to the feeling that art must not be enjoyed.
