  • I went with my partner who is a firefighter and were delighted with the details of the museum that has authentic material and spans from the time of ancient Rome. Although the best was the sympathy of the firefighter who explained it and guided us. It shows that he has a vocation for his profession

  • We are two steps from the Pyramid Cestia, in via Marmorata. The fire station is a ' 29 building with typical features of the classical era. It is said that the construction was a cause of friction among the architects, because some winked at the most extreme innovation, but was revalued, over the years, as the right compromise between tradition and modernity. And then, here it is, the barracks, with a clear circular pattern, six carriportie doors, operating at 100%. From the side gate of Via Galvani, from a passing servitude, we are involved in a journey through their glorious history. With wonder, I learned the millenarian tradition in a void of knowledge. Through reconstructions, we have witnessed the disastrous events that have involved Rome, from the time of the Empire to the present day. Utensils, objects, machinery, means of work... Firefighters are distinguished by various specializations, from divers to helicopters, speleologists, their diversified terrestrial and river service. And we thank them for what they do daily for us.

  • Not a great museum but that allows you to know the history and value of this important body since the days of the ancient Romans. It is located in the back of the current operative barracks de Jacobis, it is open on request but worth a visit because it is well done and it is useful to understand how these men see and operate in a very delicate sector of our life. Particularly touching is the visit of the Sancta Sanctorum, where the many fallen in the fulfillment of their duty and to safeguard our safety are remembered. Thanks to the FAI for having allowed, with the usual precise and prudent organization, the knowledge of this museum.
