  • Nice for history fans who have 2 minutes to lose because the Museum is covered in some metres. €16 thrown out the window. Prefer the castle Holy Angel or the Museum of the vatican.

  • Under Piazza Navona, 4.5 meters below road level there are the remains of the first athletics stadium in Rome. This, you know: you are always seen looking out of the railing from piazza di Tor Sanguigna. What I didn't know is that now it is possible to visit and open to the public. You can go down the remains of the first example of brick Stadium after excision of reusable materials in subsequent constructions, the use of spaces like barns and warehouses, and the transformation of the arena in piazza. The admission is not very large: many other remains are in the basement and in the private cellars of buildings that face Piazza Navona. The area open to visitors is the main entrance of the arena at the center of the curved side, here are exposed various fragments of sculptures and other artifacts, display panels and videos that illustrate the history of sport and sports practices from Greece to the Roman Empire; then the story of the stadium of Domitian which in time will become the piazza Navona. Tickets cost 8 euros, but it's hard not to fall in any Convention, in which case costs 6 euros as for boys between 12 to 18 years old or over 65, free for those up to 11. The ticket includes audio guide. A site rediscovered recently, that having one hour of your time worth to visit.

  • After seeing a few months ago a documentary at the Stadio di Domiziano, in November we were lucky enough to visit it. It is incredible that in Piazza Navona was found this. It is not expensive to visit and is more than interesting.

  • The place is fine, but it's overpriced at 8 euro. It's a small area of ruins. It's an interesting story and the videos reconstructing the stadium were interesting, but the space itself isn't worth the money in my opinion.
  • Admirable effort of the city of Rome to make available the historical heritage of the city, but very little to see. A tour that could last 5 min. If it weren't for the details (even too many), which are given over the phone.

  • A nice recovery of a very important archaeological site which for years remained empty and abandoned. Visitors to this area of Piazza Navona, recommend going in Palazzo Altemps located in Piazza di Sant'Apollinare, 46 (in 5 minutes to get there) and you have to just cross Piazza di Tor Sanguigna.

  • Well run, the exhibition area is small but well organized. The cost maybe a bit too excessive, but it is a Foundation, so it does not fall within the circuit of free museums (on select days)
