  • While walking through the Villa Borghese, we came to a pleasant building with a medieval wall, a donkey and a soldier. As the Internet Guide, there was chicken house "in which bred ostriches, peacocks and ducks to hunt members of the Borghese family. Ducks that I understand that for hunting. But the hunt for peacocks I hear for the first time. Now here Home-Museo Pietro Canonica. Alas, I was talking about nothing. But going inside, we saw familiar faces. The Russian Czars, Nicholas and Alexander, portrait of the last heir, busts of Queens and princesses of Russia. So, what made the sculptor! However, there has been a lot of representatives not only of the Russian court. Half of Europe in busts and sculptures, all entirely a noble family and the ruling class. Although at the last photo shows representatives of Russian peasantry with a book in his hand, as well as a man with a plough, holding himself Godfather sign. This bas-relief dedicated to Alexander II and most likely fact liberate peasants from serfdom. There is a monument to the King of Iraq, Kamal Ataturk monument (we all know this airport in Turkey), the monument to President of Argentina. In General, the creative direction of the wizard, clear. And, frankly, boring.

  • I would not say that this museum is required to attend, but walking through the Villa Borghese, it's still worth a peek, so much so that the Museum is free. Very elegant sculptures. And some female Sculptures wants to stay on longer and all over-look at the subtle features of their faces and hands.

  • Pietro Canonica is a significant figure in Italian art, this 20-century sculptor, a worthy successor of the sculptural traditions of Italy, whose monumental works can be seen not only at home but also abroad. In the Park of Villa Borghese preserved House with works of the author, where you can have a completely free of charge. His sculptures are especially good.

  • They display Pietro Canonica's work along with contemporary art pieces which is really interesting. I specially enjoyed. It's worthy to see and it's free!
  • In 1922 he settled in Rome and obtained from the Common use of "Fortezzuola", in the splendid setting of Piazza di Siena, where he lived and worked until his death in 1959. Receives commissions from all the European aristocracy, enthusiast of refined taste and idealizing this sculptor. The Museum can be visited for free and store rooms for some works.

  • A stunning discovery in the heart of Villa Borghese, a small museum that encompasses not only the sculptures by Pietro Canonica, but where you can also visit the studio where she worked, a little gem!
