  • From Hadrian's mausoleum later known as Castel Sant'Angelo. Built about 1900 years ago, remains amazed at tomorrow's. Sant'Angelo is the meaning of the Holy Angels. Is a large building, but in Rome it seems relatively sober. St. Peter's Basilica on the Tiber River. It seems history was used as a military fortress, prison, etc. after the Roman emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for his and begin construction. Inside the Museum, such as combat equipment; Tip Angel statue. It is a Holy Angel-Sant'Angelo (Sant'Angelo). There is elevator halfway (2nd floor).

  • The oldest castle around town. Looks simple outside but it's complicated inside! It's 5 storey high and alot of rooms inside. Always remember to look up (ceiling) the structure / arts on the ceiling is beautiful. P/S secret pathway to Vatican city!!!!
  • There are many beautiful frescoes and painted ceilings. The architecture is amazing. We enjoyed the view of the city from the top of the castle! It is quite a climb to the top. Audio tours are available.
  • Large self guided walk up the castle on the terraces and inside the villas within. Villas have great frescos and designs to see. At the very top of the castle you get a great view of the city including the Vatican. Note, there is also a restaurant/bar near the top if you're hungry.
  • Nice castle. Beautiful view of Rome from the terrace up top. You can spend a lot of time walking through cool corridors and checking out the castle walls and the inside of the castle. It was free the first Sunday of the month. If you plan on going on the free day, get there early.
  • Very much worth seeing. The whole place is in really amazing condition and you're allowed to visit almost every part of the castle. There's amazing fresco & oil artwork as well as sculptures and museum sections. It's also pretty amazing that there were almost no queues. There's a nice cafe near the top where you can get lunch, drinks or snacks.
