  • Lovely little museum. It's a bit less popular and quiet, but in some ways that's an advantage. Entrance is free, though I'd highly recommend the 2 or 3 EUR it costs to rent an audio guide if you don't speak Italian (or even if you do). The audio guide is well done. Some of the text in the museum is Italian only. The history of medicine is really interesting, and this museum goes right from the early days through to modern medicine, and features a lot of the equipment and tools used. Compared to a lot of the other museums in Rome, which feature a lot of art and sculptures (which I don't mind, but am not as interested in), it's great to have a little sciencey museum to go to and learn something. Thanks guys!
  • Good place to study as a medical student with medical books at your reach to borrow for a month
  • Very interesting. I took some students here a few years back and the visuals really made an impact on their decision to continue research into become Doctors.
  • Small but interesting piece of museum. Takes 30minute to walk around. Sadly most texts were Italian only.
  • This museum of medical history is quite technical, but very interesting. There are 3 floors documenting the history of medicine from antiquity to the early 20th century through artifacts, particularly surgical instruments. Labels are only in Italian, but explanations are in English too. Opening times are on the university website, but even when it's open you have to ring the bell and ask to visit the collection. The custodian was very welcoming and friendly.
