  • A lovely Museum for both young and old ... at least as far as we are concerned (4 and 6 years). Information about animals and their environments in which they live are clear and easy to understand. Belle also temporary exhibitions. must visit.

  • The Museum is very large. Inside there is the highly qualified personnel. Ticket to the lady that she printed the tickets it was helpful and very nice. It's an ideal Museum to spend two hours in contact with the whole family to explore the Animal Kingdom. Divided into various parts allows you to learn many interesting facts about varied species. Great value for money. From 1 to 10 my rating is 13.

  • Rome is unique in the richness of nature as well as archaeological and historical sites. Nature comes right into the heart of the city. When visiting Villa Borghese, one of the largest green areas, you will come across, almost unknown to most people, the Museum of Zoology, which houses many finds from the neighboring Bioparc and important historical collections of birds, shells and other animals with a spectacular room skeletons, where the bones of the animals seem to compose works of art. A must for families with children and also interesting for beginners and students. A corner of Rome outside the more traditional routes.

  • Amazing taxidermy. The dioramas are unique and quite well done. Shame that mosy displays are in Italian but still an interesting and insightful exhibition. If you're interested in nature, animals and zoology in general its definitely worth a visit. Spent a good 2 hours there!
  • Most of the content is in Italian but the exhibits are nice. An extensive collection of birds.
  • Old, expired, poorly maintained and dated. Furthermore, only Italian descriptions. Bad value for money.
  • A very pleasant surprise with lots of interesting bits to see for an amazing price!

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
