  • I visited the Museum Barracco 12.02.2017 Sunday with the cultural association "the cats of the Forum" section of kids and families, along with numerous other fellow my daughter's school and their parents. The heterogeneous collection exposed is small but includes archaeological pieces of great value and interest: by the Assyrians (which are visible some cuneiform tablets S.M.V. Emmanuel III's gift to Giovanni Barracco), Egyptians, Etruscans up to valuable classical busts. The importance of the exhibition is to be attributed to the merit of the enlightened patron Baron Giovanni, who bought many of his sculptures in Rome between the second half of the 800 and the beginning of ' 900, making it then give it to the city. Beautiful also the Palace houses the Museum, said "the small Foreign Ministry". The conclusion of the visit (less than two hours total), we walked to the splendid rione Parione in the historic center, traversing among other piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori, enjoying great freshly baked pizza by the slice.

  • The Museum is an exhibition of the collection Barracco of Etruscan art, Greek, Roman. Admission is free (if you go there is a duty at least a small donation) and in a convenient location from the point of view of tourism, between piazza navona and campo de fiori, largo argentina so easily accessible by many means. It is structured in two floors (if only the paintings on the ceiling are beautiful), each piece is exposed with or without theca, all with description and date (approx), the paths are missing but every room has a historical period, are full and then with some other person inside, especially for posts in the Middle, there is the risk of a collision if you don't do a minimum of attention. Beware of scales, the rung are high. Negative are the guides, I don't know if it's staff to book a guided tour or merely external, but all are really annoying because the explanations are done out loud, although maybe can be useful for some wise guy who is driving is knocking, actually a nuisance to those who want to enjoy the Museum at your own pace (and then feel two or three guides in the ears that mix concepts is annoying).

  • Strategically located between Campo de ' Fiori and Piazza Navona, this small museum deserves to be visited. The building that houses it is fine workmanship and harmonious shapes. The statues that are exposed are of great artistic value and so the jewels and coins. A special look they deserve statues from Palmira considering the end he did, because of human folly, this wonderful site in Syria. The staff is full of information and anecdotes. Last admission is free. Amazing.

  • I went to this museum at field trip and it was amazing! I hope you also enjoy the Sumerian exhibition at the museo barrac... plus I hope you enjoy the Rome exhibit too. Thank you.
  • Little gem. Courteous staff. Maybe a little chaotic in the show and simply serves as an exhibitor. But it is not chaotic.
