  • Must weigh a curse on Palazzo Barberini ... after a nearly century-old dispute to rid the Palace from army officers ' Club and return it to unnecessary public, finally been successful a few years ago, not only for the riches Museum It contains are not valued at all (visitors are scarce despite the presence of such masterpieces as Judith and Holofernes by Caravaggio and the spectacular ceiling frescoed by Pietro da Cortona) but also the thematic exhibitions leave something to be desired. Disorganization, approximation, lack of basic services. Google Glass as decoy ... really cheap too and Sir Denis Mac Mahon, which was responsible for the modern development and scientific criticism of the Baroque, cannot but stir the grave

  • View. Not an explanation of the paintings exhibited and because of that selection. Exposed amateur night with lights placed randomly. Last week price reduced but too bad they forgot to say on site or at the time of purchase that almost half of the works are no longer visible. ArtGlass. Do well to repeat that I am not the Google Glass: 3 videos of even 30 seconds that nothing they say more than has already been explained. Other than augmented reality. Impossible on the exhibition website have contacted who managed it, let alone on the site ... money actually stolen!

  • Poor Sir Denis Mahon, her generous work of enhancing the seventeenth century Baroque was definitely honored and especially respected! The view is absolutely devoid of explanatory leaflets about the content. No postcard ... just a huge pile of expensive catalogues in temporary space that should be the bookshop. The executives of the show (most popular) are terribly enlightened and exposed without any explanatory panel. This places the visitor in a position to buy even the audioguide (5 EUROS in addition to admission 12 euros). Not applicable reported that "the lute player" by Caravaggio (single ply our Caravaggio at the Hermitage and that alone could justify the cost of the ticket) had returned to his home ... And yesterday was missing as well "The dentist" Caravaggio (no indication even in this regard). But the real gem of the exhibition are the much advertised Google Glass ... you are delivered only at the end of the path (but you must book and pay for them at the entrance ... and other 3 EURO absolutely thrown away). Are activated only on four paintings, add nothing to the view (even commenting on a picture that isn't there!) and take about a couple of minutes in all. NO COMMENT. I forgot ... exhibition ticket is not integrated with the visit to Palazzo Barberini. Shame because it could have been a very nice occasion.
