  • Piazza known more "Hygeia" Walter Rossi. Beyond the polemics I find this monument as a beautiful idea. Symbol of youthful energy that survive to the strength of the meteorite, a meteorite from which leave many hands. Hands in search of Justice, hands for help, hands looking for attention, hands.

  • This work I made in 1976, at the request of some friends of Walter Rossi. The realized for free because I was asked by a group of young people between the ages of seventeen and eighteen, motivated by the desire to make immortal the sacrifice of their own age who died for an ideal. Not surprisingly the title I chose for the work was: "Against all violence"; because in that statement had all my hopes for a better future. Today, after many years, I hope that young people who encounter in that monument, currently sedated and blinded by extreme consumerism and global, are read by a regenerative spark that revivals in them a healthy desire for change. I hope those hands in bronze representing the natural wealth placed in every young person, can get out of the stone and fly like purifying power over all the Earth, avoiding getting devour from the Simian figure at the center of the egg: violence of indifference. The work was restored in September 2007 following the theft of some hands. The author Mizanur Rahman

  • Motorists travelling in columns in the traffic of via della Camilluccia throw just look distracted the playground of the former square Igea. Only a few notice a small grey monument, tucked away in the countryside. A stone egg of peperino-maybe a devastating meteorite, modeled by the friction in the fall ...-from which sprout several coats of bronze. Some cling spasmodically to the rock, more outstretched desperately skyward. Is the monument erected in memory of Walter Rossi-a young victim of the "years of lead"--in which the sculptor Mizanur Rahman wanted to symbolize youthful energy that, in a desire for freedom, oppose the force, violence and obscurantism? ...-represented by stone. A corner of Monte Mario usually overlooked that on the anniversary of the killing of young, though decoration and cleanliness that-along with the entire surrounding area-always deserves A short distance from the "Meteor" a demeaning ephemeral coverage safeguards against bad weather (so to speak ...) an archaeological artifact (unknown age and nature ...) that no sign or Panel describes or comment, leaving passersby in total darkness about the history of this little "opus latericium." Unfortunately even this is Rome. And with each passing day-beyond the rare exceptions-we are sad and repeated confirmations on how to manage its artistic heritage: big or small.
