Monte Pincio, Rome
(4.7/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Escape the noise of the city at Monte Pincio, a park filled with greenery and statues of famous Italian figures. Some of the busts have been worn over time or vandalized, but many are still in good shape. Check out the puppet show, or visit the obelisk at the park’s center. Travel around the park by train, bicycle, or even go-kart. Put Monte Pincio and other Rome attractions into our Rome tour planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • The splendid view of Rome from the terrace of the gardens of the Pincio, on the Piazza del Popolo has its high point to the sunset. The view of the sun setting slowly behind San Peter's dome is a vision that remains forever in the memory. My recommendation to the Pincio is to climb from the Piazza del Popolo (Metro A, Flaminio) to appreciate the work of the architect Valadier, enjoy the view and the sunset and then follow signs to the Plaza of Spain, strolling through the gardens, admiring or taking something in the precious coffee Valadier, the former residence of the architect who reformed at the end of the 19TH century the whole area , and reach the Church of the Trinità dei Monti and descend the fantastic staircase to the Plaza of Spain. (Underground line A, Piazza di Spagna).

  • Yes yes!! Do visit this attraction. The walk to the top is a few minutes long (mostly in the shadows) and the view on the top is worth every second of your time! Amazing.
