  • Went here with my family. Was easy to go to, since it is in the basement of the hotel we were staying. Not your typical souvenirs, but interesting and edgy. Made a few purchases. Mostly for locals.  more »

  • A small market with clothes and interesting accessories. Nothing too special. Held in the basement of a hotel in a modern neighbourhood in Rome. Valley drop by when you are strolling through the neighborhood Monti.

  • We visited here between 6 & 7pm and found some lovely handmade and local items to take home as gifts. The market stall holders were all very friendly and happy to discuss their products. Located just along from the Cavour metro heading towards Coliseum on Via Urbana.
  • It is a hipster place and it has totally different atmosphere than any other spots in Rome. The market is full of creativity but it was a small place, you can stop by shortly and grab some ideas about it.
  • Cool place with plenty of neat clothes and accessories. Slightly over priced but all these types of markets tend to be this way.
  • Cool indoor market in the hipster zone of Romestadio historic centre. Here you'll find original and vintage items for sale by young talented artisans.
  • Fantastic place for unique vintage and designer finds - a bit pricey for a casual shopper but always worth a visit even if you don't buy anything. Located in the lovely Monti district, full of shops and restaurants.

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
