Historical market place, in the heart of San Giovanni, historical district of the capital. It's not like it used to, however if fans of vintage and unusual objects, the market's focus on getting there!

It was one of the cool markets in Rome. Today it has become a mediocre market with stalls have no merchandise interesting and different from the many benches around the Roman municipal markets

If you know the market of via Sannio been to Rome. Knowing how to move and where to go for ravanare, because you have to do in Via Sannio! Let the first pews of the three halls, go to the end, where you see the clothes hung mo unlikely trophy and stacks of used clothes on the counter. This is Via Sannio. The initial leave to gullible tourists shoddy goods.

  • Good clothes and very cheap a bought a pair of leather boots 😚 👍👍
  • A lot of the items are 'Made in China' and being peddled by Pakistan & Indians. There are a few stalls that have used clothing piled on tables; great stuff can be found for cheap if ur willing to take the time to look. Lots of new jackets & coats, a few shoes, lots of purses.
  • Not as varied as the big Sunday market on Porta Portese, but still worth a look if you're a bargain hunter and ready to invest some time. Lots of vintage and used clothing, some good American brand names like Ralph Lauren. Cappelleria Mirarchi in the far left corner has stylish, high quality Italian wool hats for a fraction of what you'd pay in the USA. Also, the Indian purse sellers outside the market will sell you Italian leather purses for half the price of what you'd pay in the shops.
  • Hidden away in a corner. Was nice at first before realising most of the stalls were selling near identical items. Not enough variation between areas.
  • Lots of falsified stuff and incredibly annoying sellers. You might find a good deal though.

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
