  • I have visited Rome in the years far and wide: monuments, churches, parks, you never stop discovering it, let's face it. But I decided to take a trip to the beautiful season from the parts of the Prenestina, taking away the Portonaccio, for the symbolism of this place and I was not disappointed. Officially it is called 'Sandro Pertini', but for the inhabitants of the Pigneto-Prenestino district it is the ex-Snia lake. The Snia Viscosa was a factory established in this area in the 1920s, having more than 2 thousand workers, then in 1954 the factory was closed and in 1990, during "redevelopment" works, digging the workers literally pierced the marana that flows in the underground, the water, the bullying water, came out overwhelmingly and flooded everything and nature prevailed. A natural lake that is born in the middle of the concrete of the urbe, the volunteering of those who carry this lake forward, the green in the midst of so much concrete and degradation make this a unique place, to live and to support, if it is not beauty this...

  • an abandoned area and now open to the public. A good initiative for the neighborhood, but without any pretense of excellence

  • Intrigued by the word pass we took a walk to visit it, alas a real disappointment, the context is of an incredible desolation, recalls a post-apocalyptic scenario, between metal fences, skeletons of abandoned buildings and messy brambles. Davcero a pity.

  • Beautiful green zone

  • Too bad the place is not accessible, and also frequented almost exclusively by alternative guys, and someone who goes there to run.

  • Inside the public park "energies", its waters are clean, you can practice boating and swimming. "In the midst of the Monsters de Cemento St ' water has been reflecting er sky. It's the nature that fights, and I'm neighborhood is less black. In the midst of the Monsters de Cemento the lake is ' n dream come true. It's the nature that resists, tonight Rome is less black. "

  • I had heard about the discovery of a lake in a park on the popular area of Prenestina Rome, fascinated and curious I went to visit....... A mirror of water that resembles a big puddle in a context of total degradation, a park poorly reduced and attached to a social center full of people who do not understand what to do, of course you imagine. Please do not advertise it with photos and descriptions that look like a lake in Trentino, I was deceived by this. Other than Park and lake!!! Is a perfect symbol of decay

  • The idea of a small lake in the vicinity from my house I like, I went to run and I must say that the entrance is kept really well, grass cut, a small garden, walking towards the lake also known tables with benches, nice but then I see the degradation , foul smelling waters, abandoned pallets. The commune is active. Also the entrance is not very easy.
