  • All so beautiful! Meticulously kept british atmosphere environments at two steps from the noise of the Spanish Spain. You will enter a path to the romanticism of the early nineteenth century that striking and fascinating. A video made a great time puts us in touch with the personalities of Keats, Shelley and Byron: you go for reading Biographical notes and remember the works. Interesting documents, charming little apartment, all library and engaging the keats room with the bed where he died young of tuberculosis. A place that we tend to forget that I think go absolutely seen!

  • Fascinating place to go back in time, providing a peaceful, tranquil place enabling you to share the same views that Keats and Shelley had during their time in Rome. The house is packed full of Romant...  more »
  • To Keats, Shelley and Byron is a place that, by simple sympathizers of the literature, you cannot but consider five star-packed, but the star performer ever, thanks to the story of our great guide, is decidedly Keats, the poet died of tuberculosis in these rooms (very atmospheric but, with the exception of ceilings, reconstructed). The fact is: why should you pay to get into a museum composed essentially of three rooms furnished and equipped by romantic and numerous manuscripts of the three great writers, from a library of books, and nothing else, not even a view worthy of something about Spanish Spain? Well, what has been said does not express the magic atmosphere that recreates between these walls, from where the Spanish steps and its tourists-ants you see bias, between romantic and bound volumoni autographs of Borges and Oscar Wilde, and the magnificent, Keats to spectrum poeticissimo waft through manuscripts and drawings and quotes throughout the Interior. There is little Yes, very little, but this place is a real monument to literature, particularly romantic, especially Keats. Pause to reread his verses exposed between the shrines, admiring the hot titles Bookstore; then again, maybe better if you love everything, but if you was this place is an amazing Alchemy.

  • amazing! I had a wonderful time inside and I was very moved when I walked into the room where keats breathed his last breath. I could almost visualize his presence. it might have been wonderful in his days. the museum is well kept and they were very kind and helpful. I would definitely come back again. but if you are not a lit enthusiast and haven't ever read romantic poetry, this is not the place you should be.
  • Fun and informative, we spent a rainy afternoon exploring here.
  • A safe haven for poets and a quiet corner amidst a bustling, lively Rome that offers a glimpse of lives lost and found
  • For lover's of Romantic Literature. One of the greatest romantic poets.
  • nice, if not smallish museum. but I enjoyed the looks from the windows and the bookshop

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
