  • I can't recommend Grano & Farina enough. I took two classes here (Southern Italian Pastas and Pizza) while I was in Rome and wish I had left time to take more. Julia and Pino are incredibly kind, welc...  more »

  • I had a great time at the chocolates making class. Warm welcome and very serious teaching in a totally relaxed atmosphere.
  • We had an amazing time in a private cooking class with Julia and Pino! We booked the 4 Roman Pastas class for our group of four and it was so much fun. We learned a ton, had fun doing it, and the consensus amongst us was that it was the best cooking class we'd taken. The experience was fun but the best part was feeling like I might actually be able to recreate these dishes on my own, from fresh pasta to traditional sauce. Will definitely take another class when I'm back!
  • Had a couple of fabulous classes with the wonderful and easy going Julia and Pino. Lots of fun had whilst getting a great foundation in making pasta. I'll be back.
  • Julia and Pino were the best hands on teachers, and I was amazed on how much we learned in one lesson. They both teach from their hearts, and it felt like I was at home learning from family members. I adored both Julia and Pino, and will cherish the memory of this outstanding class we took in Rome, Italy. Before our vacation I searched various pasta cooking classes, and I am so thankful I booked my class with Grano and Farina. I thought it was a large cooking school, and had no idea what to expect. It was over the top experience, and I have taken many cooking classes in California. I highly recommend taking this class while in Rome, Italy and you will also have fond memories of a very special day spent in Rome. This class should be rated 10+.
  • I took two baking classes with Chef Pino during my short Rome holiday. I found both classes thoroughly enjoyable and very informative. As a keen amateur baker I was interested in learning the techniques for making the Italian breakfast cornetto (as opposed to the French croissant) and also the French classics an opera cake and a Fraisier. I would strongly recommend Grano & Farina Cooking School to both novice bakers who would like to enjoy themselves while on holiday, and those looking for a professional level of baking techniques. Chef Pino has an outstanding teaching manner, is very patient and knowledgeable, and takes you through each process stage by stage. Both Chef Pino and his wife Julia are lovely people and go a long way to accommodate you. Also, having previously done baking courses at Leiths and Le Cordon Bleu, London, I can say these two workshops with Chef Pino were tremendous value for the amount of knowledge gained. I look forward to taking another workshop in the future.
