  • Just a few steps from the Trevi fountain in a side street of via del Corso, founded as the outer courtyard of the palazzo Sciarra is a rare example of Art Nouveau Roman. Decorations on the figure of woman-in the role of wife, mother, educator and mastermind of the House along with the female virtues: loyalty, humility, justice. The Gallery arose thanks to Prince Maffeo who decided to turn her house as the site of fi cultural magazine (Director Gabriele D'Annunzio)

  • We live in Italy so we were searching for actually looking for Chinese food near the Trevi fountain when we located this building. It's a very worthwhile quick detour from the madness of the fountain....  more »
  • In fact, a special passage. The indoor interior is definitely notable, very beautiful and interesting wall paintings, designs can be seen on the entire surface. Free, but the House offices, holding open the gateway is good to know.

  • Great fun and great food. Service from the moment we walked in was entertaining with our kids. Food was good too!
  • Rhe food was quite ok and the service was good. The prices were acceptable and the evening was great fun. But this is more of a tourist restaurant than a real Italian one.
  • Service was very good, courteous and friendly. Food was very delicious, generous and authentically Rome. I ordered the roast lamb and it was fantastic! Will definitely come back.
  • Do not go. Terrible service. I ask three times for ice and lemons to two different waiters and no response. The pizza and calzone is low quality.
  • SO good. Hidden gem. Had the pizzas and they were incredible! Great service. Great prices.

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
