  • Skip picture galleries in Italy-in my opinion, this is blasphemy. We are very pleased to have visited the Palazzo Corsini in Trastevere. Together with the ticket give detailed booklet with an indication of the best pieces in the collection. There are Angelico, FRA Bartolomeo, Guido Reni, Caravaggio, Nicolas Poussin, Anton Van Dyck, Rubens and other famous artists of the 16-18th centuries.

  • Gallery collection includes cloths from the private collection of Cardinal Corsini-paintings of Italian, Flemish and Spanish masters. Especially remembered "John the Baptist" by Caravaggio and Van Dyck and Rubens works. And it was very nice to learn "pocherk" beautiful Spanish artist Murillo-his Virgin with the child always recognized correctly. Note that the output in the Gallery not Monday (as in many museums), while Tuesday.

  • Meeting of painting is not very large, although includes works by Fra Angelico, Caravaggio, Rubens, Reni, Van Dyck and others. The most interesting thing about it, is not my opinion, that it participate there where intended. Both paintings and how some dust creates a full feeling that as cardinal Neri Maria Corsini hung pictures, so they are not touched. The Palazzo has a huge library, not yielding to the halls in which replaced painting. In September it was 2016 exhibition "books, which created Europe". All rooms in the book showcases masterpieces from different collections of Italy-8 century manuscript from fragments to incunabula. Palazzo Corsini is worth visiting as a good addition to the Palazzo Barberini, aligning it with a walk through Trastevere, where it is located.

  • A bit of a disapointment. Even the Caravaggio was not there. It was on loan.
  • Gallery with historical setting in the beautiful walls of Palazzo Corsini. At the time of review, some parts of the building are being renovated and some paintings are on loan (Caravaggio). The first Sunday of the month admission is free.
