  • Perfect place to rest and escape from the searing heat of the Center. Not far from the Colosseum and the Altare della Patria. It is undoubtedly elegant and evocative. I had the pleasure of snooping at Feltrinelli: huge, full of gift ideas, books of all kinds and language: for lovers of art, travel, kitchen; the music section is definitely one of the best I've ever seen: discs of all kinds (including vinyl 33 RPM), musical instruments, new releases and cd plus "unavailable"; the books section-and-toys for toddlers.

  • Before Parliament is the Palace of the Roman Institute of Beni Stabili which houses the Galleria Alberto Sordi, Art Nouveau, covered by glasses with Y-shaped plant. 17 metres high, features 1500 square meters of exhibition space, the seat of cultural and musical events.

  • Nice galleria, with mostly expensive shops. The bookstore is nice, not that many English books, but a nice childrens area (gifts and books) and a café at the second floor. At the ground floor of the G...  more »

  • Pay attention: entrance is every two hours, so it is strictly important that you plan your visit here.
  • If you're in the mood for boutique shopping, this would be a good option for you. It has a good collection of Boutiques and refreshment outlets in case you feel tired after all the shopping.
  • During the day it's a nice, but small shopping centre. We went to a party here in the evening and it made a great, unusual location.
  • Little nice shopping center with glamorous boutiques. In addition, there's the Rinascente outlet :) -70%
  • Beautiful indoors mall but you feel you are outdoors.kids loved it. they had a cool mickey mouse exhibit on

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
