The fountains of Rome are the object of astonishment or admiration. Over the years, the fountains became an opportunity to demonstrate the power of the Church of Rome. In this case is the first fountain in Rome built specifically with view of water.

The best of Rome is to walk and go finding monuments, sculptures, fountains... In this case we had the bad luck of being the Church of Santa Maria of the Vittoria closed, where we went to see the ecstasy of Saint Teresa and just around we stumbled upon this source that I do not I dislike, with the exception of the crude imitation of disproportionate features of Michelangelo's Moses what cost him the laughter and the sarcasm of the Romans who said among other things that Moses frowns by her inept sculptor. It will be that with so much grandeur of sculptures we have become very demanding.

the fountain is really beautiful, and accessible, when we went there, there was only us and a tramp, she's original, the only concern is its proximity to the road and the narrow passage of the sidewalk.

  • Nice fountain and usually is unnoticed. Also named Fountain of Moses marked the terminus of the Acqua Felice aqueduct restored by Pope Sixtus V. It was built in 1585.
  • This is an another beautiful fountain of Rome after Trevi. Walkable from republica.
  • I really liked how this fountain was built up against the actual building. If you are walking by you almost don't realize its a fountain.Worth a look for sure.
  • A lovely fountain located in the Piazza Di San Bernardo.
  • Nice water fountain in St. Bernardo square

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
