  • Along the promenade on the Gianicolo, we are faced with a lighthouse, which though simple, is another of the attractions to beautify the place. On holidays, the lights in the colors of the flag of Italy they call attention to the Hill. From there we have a good view of Rome and Trastevere district. It's not a mandatory, unless the ride to Gianicolo is on tour in Rome.

  • The lighthouse on the ridge to the Summit of the Hill, literally. At first I did not believe, and in fact if you look closely at the lighthouse Lantern got stuck on the part of the mirror, you can see that the lighthouse. White color giving a sense of a small lighthouse

  • Actually "Faro degli Italiani d' Argentina" with plaque commemorating the Italians emigrated to Argentina, who have donated this tower, this small lighthouse on the Gianicolo Hill, close to Piazza Garibaldi is located. We reached him on foot either from there or from the Lungotevere across a street and a staircase on the shortest route directly and can enjoy a quiet beautiful views of the city.

  • Great view of large parts of Rome. Great photo opportunities from here. Wait a little by the fountain and there will be a bride couple with a photographer and a nice car. Big old beautiful trees all over on this hill. In this area you can be lucky to see or hear the green parrots (parachutes) who live here free. Very high scream!
  • As featured in Travel Man, this canon fires every day at noon. You can get really close to it and when it fires a shockwave hits you because it is so loud (no, seriously cover your ears)! Only downside is the long walk to the top of the hill, made even worse in hot, stuff conditions. An alternative attraction in Rome and definitely worth a visit.
  • Booms very loudly at 12 o'clock, noon, midday, Mezzogiorno. To synchronize all churches in Rome. If you're very close, protect your ears.
  • The cannon fires everyday at noon, and there is often a large crowd waiting for the daily event. The view from Gianicolo is one of the best of Rome.
  • Interestingand refreshing breeze atop rome
