A great number of paintings there, and is certainly going to be appreciated by art lovers everywhere! While the audioguides were very informative and helpful, and I would definitely recommend you get them, I was disappointed in the number of paintings that had explanations. Overall, still would recommend people go visit this beautiful Gallery! Houses works from Caravaggio, Raphael, and Titian!
Great place. You have to visit. Why? 1. If you want to see a palace of an italian aristocratic family connected to several popes. That's the one to go to. 2. Beautiful interior historic state appartments full of history. Greatly narrated from the audio guide, never boring. 3. Great paintings and picture galleries including 3 paintings of Caravaggio. And not crowded at all. This is truly a treasure not many tourists have seen during their Rome visit.
Marvelous afternoon and well worth the price of admission. The art was incredible, and the glimpse into the home of this aristocratic family descended from a former Pope, priceless. The Versailles room was especially breathtaking!
With just an afternoon to kill in Rome, I decided to visit. Rich history, beautiful surroundings, priceless art made me more curious about the family. Intrique didn't disappear centuries ago. It was a privilege to experience it and I'm grateful to the heirs for sharing.
One of the best things I did on this trip to Rome - not your usual museum - the place itself is amazing with art all over the walls. The visit to the rooms is a must and such an insight into the life of the family. Definitely worth it.
