  • A historic place for 40 near Piazza Navona. I go there often and I always feel good. Family and typical Roman welcome. The good dishes of Roman cuisine and a great choice of wines. I come willingly

  • I visited for lunch on weekdays. It was my first visit in several years, but it was still crowded. First of all, I chose Chianti Riserva from a thick wine list and ordered three kinds of meat patties for appetizers, Roman style of trippa in main, and sauteed seasonal vegetables as a side dish. It is a bread attached in the kopert, but the bread for putty was served in the putty. It was crisp and hard bread, and when I ate it with putty, the taste of the putty stood out. All the dishes went well with the wine and were delicious. It was my first visit in several years, but the famous store was alive and well.

  • A lot of different vines. Just to read what they have you need feel hours. My choice Vines from Tuscany  more »

  • Food was great, but service? Non existent. Plopped us down with menus then disappeared. Took drink and food order, offering no help despite asking. Plopped food down (meat and cheese plate) with zero explanation. It was great meat and cheese but we had no idea what it was. Was Greg wines, but knew nothing about it outside of one was red, the other was sparkling. 🤷‍♂️ Not at all what we'd thought we were getting.
  • Great place and recommended by an Italian that now lives back home. Affordable, close to the Pantheon (actually just a few blocks’ walk), and VERY good food! It was very busy, even at 10:30 PM when we showed up there. My only concern was that only one guy was able to assign seating so while a number of tables were ready, we had to just hang around for a bit. It was the same, a bit lagging, when we wanted to pay. I’d chalk it up to them being packed with people. Despite all that, this restaurant is one not to miss. The menu is extensive and the wine list especially more so. Exhaustive with choice. Make it a destination when visiting because It was that good. Oh... and very multilingual here.
  • Fantastic selection of wine primarily from Italy, but with options from other countries as well. Kind staff, decent food, cute space. A great, cozy wine bar in an area with lots of interesting shops and restaurants.
  • Great food! One of the best meals we had in Rome. We had the cheese ravioli with sage, butter and a light citrus. Had to go back again! Then tried 2 more pasta dishes, so very good. Food comes out pretty fast. Staff is busy, but still cool. Plenty of wine by the glass in addition to bottle. Patio has nice seating and lighting. The inside is hot in the summer.
  • Cul De Sac is a quaint little street side restaurant close to Piazza Navona serving traditional Roman fare. The food is very good and the service was excellent. It’s not directly adjacent to the piazza so it doesn’t suffer the typical tourist congestion you might find at the restaurants with a view. I enjoyed a meat and cheese plate, the Venus black rice with mussels in tomato sauce, and meatballs with mashed potatoes. The meatballs were more like a Salisbury steak than a typical Italian meatball but were still very tasty. The two dishes were decent sized portions so one dish is probably sufficient for the average eater. Don’t let “first course” and “second course” fool you into thinking they’re small portions!
