  • To those who think that any country can be well narrated historically, culturally, gastronomically and currently? Certainly those who are originating in that country, but maybe you already live in the same city. In addition, if this country is an unusual Country, often far from the usual tourist circuits even better. Also, if the meeting with these people is eating, drinking with their own local specialties, and are themselves in offrirvele is the non-plus-ultra! So if you're looking for an evening where you eat ethnic, discussing, listening to music and dancing-and, only in the list but first in importance, also solidarity to people less fortunate than ourselves-then Cucimondo is for you! Brought from home eager to listen and learn, want to know the latest news and recent past of Nations and peoples without the filter of the Italian and international press, bring a plate and cutlery: think of the rest of the Association children and residents of Cucimondo ... you want some example? Argentina, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, Philippines, Bangladesh, Senegal, Ethiopia, Niger, Cape Verde, Uzbekistan ... For a month, we meet in a hall never too big to San Lorenzo to know each other; each time is a new emotion sounds, colors and flavors. On other occasions, the Saturday morning there are also ethnic cooking classes and other cultural activity of cinema and literature, always related to the almost unknown Countries presented at Cucimondo. Unique to say the least!

  • From the kitchen of a State you can understand the peculiarities of a people? If your answer is Yes, then you need to try an experience like this. Cucimondo, is an association created with the aim of helping these people (many in need for wars, dictatorships, famines, ecc.ecc) allows us to know these new realities around us. Integration is difficult, sometimes missing respect, but meet like this helps. The volunteers, organized once a month one of these dinners by contacting various associations or groups that represent the peoples of these countries. We meet Fridays usually at dinner, it contributes an amount that covered the expenses, will go to charity for different activities (schools, foster homes and whatnot). Both volunteers State representatives called "concerned" before discussing the various courses that you will use later (how you cook and the ingredients), talk about their experiences, their arrival in Italy, of integration, of the positive and negative aspects of their countries of origin, among other things always available to answer various trivia about. Everything that is most commonly explained with the help of photos, movies, music, and sometimes even dancing. It is the second year that I go and every time the next appearance is an enriching experience. As a salesperson said so many years ago ... SEEING IS BELIEVING

  • I attend the intercultural evenings of this commendable Association for over 2 seasons, and I appreciate your organization and purpose, more than ever in an age like this, in which conflicts and tensions between different peoples have worsened: Cucimondo proves that "different is beautiful" and that the differences are worth, not walls but bridges. " Thanks to the tireless and Irene Sayora (not to mention other activists) we meet in a room of San Lorenzo 1 Friday per month to enjoy the local traditions of the countries of the 5 continents, prepared directly from the hands of people who come from those lands, and who tell their life stories by listening to their music, performing in their dances explaining their native culture. By Cucimondo I expanded my views and explored the globe virtually, narrowing in fact "other": Niger/Polonia/Kurdistan/Filippine/Bangladesh/Senegal/Etiopia/Sikh.. It is true that it becomes all brothers! With the hope that the brotherhood continues even in everyday life.
