  • It is a beautiful light blue dome floral pattern from church. That fit like the death of our Lady of Caravaggio painted for the high altar of the Church is again ordered to other painters so guess if Caravaggio had become the landmarks of Trastevere.

  • This is the name by which it was called the ancient Spezieria di Trastevere because there was even the Vatican. It is located on the first floor of the Discalced Carmelite monastery, incorporated into the Church of Santa Maria della Scala. Began as a pharmacy, indeed once bragged of being the oldest pharmacy in Trastevere, and as such contains a treasure consisting of: counter, display cabinets, shelving, furniture which belong to the eighteenth century, while date back to the previous century the crusher, the pots, scales, distillation stills, mortars. Original galenic laboratory and even the crusher, the sensational colours coloured tiles, vases, scales, distillation stills, mortars when the Pharmacy was opened to the public, late 17th century, because previously was reserved for the needs of only the Carmelite friars. Unique decorations and typical furnishings aside, interest focuses then on more or less unique memorabilia, but are truly unique theriaca jar containing the drug of the personal physician of Nero (57) and the Treaty of the simple, namely a herbarium which lists goes all herbs which were found to be medicinal virtue and of each , the page listed, there is a champion. Even more unusual medicinal preparation place spirits laboratory as well as some liqueurs that are sold today, the laboratory was set up in the nineteenth century. We are delighted to see the centrifuges, the cauldrons for preparing decoctions, filling equipment, printing presses, presses for pressing and sieves. And the final icing on the cake, a sterilizer and a pillbox that needed to get the pills from the dough. Its premises include a free clinic (closed in ' 50), remained open until 1978. Trastevere aside, to remember that it is not only the oldest pharmacy in the ward Roman but even in Europe. The Pharmacy is still sold water from the scale, a remedy against a multitude of ailments, thus saith the label.

  • Looking for another Church in Trastavere, Basilica, looked on the way to this-was a service community was black-perhaps Church gave some in the diaspora. Interiors and Baroque façade. Interest is the old drugstore on the right side of the entrance to the Church, in the same building. Called the Antique pharmacy with 1700 years. Curious. There is even a Museum, but it works on the reservation by phone. Preserved old wooden chemist's furniture.
