  • This Church deserves more attention, for it is really beautiful! The Church contains the great paintings and sculptures. The tomb of Cardinal Bartolommeo Pacca found here and St. Giovanni Leonardi is buried in a glass coffin here.

  • The Church is situated at the foot of Capitol Hill, next to the theatre of Marcela. The façade and interiors are designed in the Baroque style. The temple's architecture is inspired by the style of Andrea Palladio. Decorate the altars in the main canvases 17-18th centuries, among the names of authors known to us turned out to be only Luke Giordano. The main relic temple-the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary, protects against the plague.

  • The name of the Church is complex because it has merged two during reconstruction more ancient churches: Santa Maria in Portico and Santa Maria in Kampitelli. Reconstruction of the Temple took place in the year 1656 in the name of protecting the city from the plague, inside there is a miraculous image of the Virgin, a Rome from plague.

  • Originally named Santa Maria in Portico, the Church is one of the most beautiful examples of Roman Baroque. If you have already visited the two "twin" churches of piazza del Popolo, surely you will recognize the style of that artist, the architect Rainaldi.
