  • It is located south of Piazza San Bernardo Church. Came to the square to go to the Church of Santa Susanna is attracted to the mysterious atmosphere of the circular building, looked into the Church. No tourists. There were people sitting in a Chair in the Church, reading a thick book. It felt like the church staff.

  • The Church, built in 1598, was entrusted to the French of the Cistercian order. After the French Revolution and the dissolution of the Feuillants, the building with the adjoining monastery was ceded to the Congregation of Bernard of Clairvaux, to whom the Church was dedicated. As the Pantheon, the Abbey has a cylindrical shape with a dome with oculus. A series of alcoves in walls is occupied by statues of Saints. The original design saw the addition of the chapel of san Francesco.

  • Particular Church that was built in the late 1500 within a structure of the baths of Diocletian. Reminiscent of the Pantheon to the cylindrical shape (although only 22 metres) and the oculus at the top of the dome. Overall, nothing that If this review did you like, you can read my other for Rome (and others) and I'm glad a click on: is it useful? Thanks:)

  • Small and nice church built in 1598. It is worth to visit if you are in the area because it is easy overlooked in order to visit other churches and roman attractions.
  • Nice church with an impressive interior dome.
  • A beautiful but rather subdued looking church from the outside.
  • Very nice and quite church.

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
