  • Appearance is great, but during painting and decorating, really good and beautiful. Even Rubens is on a gorgeous, soft, beautiful and made feel like. Is the Maria Church is like. Very much recommended.

  • Built in the early 17th century, the Church was originally dedicated to a Saint today little known: San Trifimo. The current name derives from a building next to the Church and intended to house the poor and spinsters without means, dedicated to St. Philip. Like many Roman buildings, St Philip Neri was the object of numerous alterations and restorations over the centuries, due to carelessness or natural events such as the flood of the Tiber that struck the city in 1853. The façade dates back to the early 18th century, when Philippe Regazzoni was put in charge of the complete renovation of the building, while the last one is of 1993, when the Church was returned to the cult after being abandoned for decades (it was even used as a depot during the 20th century!). Outside the Church has a façade with stucco oval depicting St. Philip greeted in Heaven by the Madonna and child, within a wide range of works are worthy of mention. The Interior is opulent, rich in marble and stuccoes, columns at a time, with interesting works, although the whole thing is a little overwhelming in his pomp and wealth of works. Val is worth a visit for those who travelled Via Giulia.

  • The Chiesa Nuova, also called Santa Maria in Vallicella, is distinguished from the others, at first glance, because in the plaza sculpture accompanies her jeweler/Bowl-shaped. Once inside, friendly volunteers offer the audio guide to the history of the Church in Exchange for will at the end (they have it in several languages, it is the Church which I saw more prepared in order to inform tourists). It contains several paintings by Rubens, apart from the Majesty of the rest of details that make it up.
