  • It is a church that crosses the Palatine Bridge into Trastevere and walks for 10 minutes on the narrow road. The appearance is simple without decoration, and the white of the wall looks more remarkably. There was a calm atmosphere, and the feeling of the church which melted into the town.

  • it is considered the most beautiful cloister of the fifteenth century, in the true heart of Trastevere behind Santa Cecilia and a stone's throw from the Santa Maria del Orto, this fifteenth-century church tells the long history of this picturesque neighborhood and its inhabitants. The cloister's afternoon opening hours should be checked and the extraordinary openings should be checked for the church.

  • The San Giovanni Battista Church of Genoa is a crossroads corner at the back of the Basilica of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere, which crosses the Genovaj and Anichia streets. In front of the church is a parking lot, there are no gaps between the car and the car is placed on the bike. The door opening and the gate of the iron fence were closed, and only the façade was looked at, but it was a simple style without the decoration. The adjoining building was like a monastery with this church, but the entrance was closed.

  • There are two places to visit here, the church and the much more famous cloisters. The latter are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 14:00 to 16:00 in winter and 15:00 to 18:00 in summer. The church, however, is only open for liturgical events. There is a regular Mass on Sundays at 11:00.
  • Strolling through Trastevere even lucked out of this wonderful place if you do more than attention. Only a small plaque in front of an ancient but not flashy you door indicates the presence of the brotherhood with its beautiful kiosk. The kiosk is open for 2 or 3 hours per day, in the afternoon; It is often also open the remarkable Chapter House. But what captivates is the tranquility and timeless atmosphere of this place. The Church of the complex, which is also very elegant, also has an entrance from the square. It's rarely open. If you can go and visit the complex: he deserves it

  • The Hospitium Genoensium at the port of Ripa Grande, was founded by Meliaduce Celestine (1430-1481), Genoese nobleman, who, having held public office in his city, he moved permanently to Rome in 1467 to deal with commercial and banking activities , which enabled him to increase his already considerable wealth. The work of the nation's Hospital Liguria, designed for the needs of the poor sailors, initially dedicated to Saint Sixtus, then at the same Meliaduce Cicada, and finally to San Giovanni Battista dei Genovesi, began in 1482-83 and were entrusted to the supervision of Giorgio della Rovere, Bishop of Orvieto, Bartolomeo Maraschi, Bishop of Città di Castello, and Stephen Novelli Canon of the basilica of St. Peter. Some time later it was also undertaken the construction of the Church, first mentioned in the catalog of religious buildings of Rome in 1492. The hospital was structured around a beautiful cloister built in the second half of the 15th century and attributed to Baccio Pontelli. The cloister, masterpiece of fifteenth-century Roman architecture, is surprising for its integrity (is considered the best preserved Renaissance cloister di Roma) and for its intimate monumentality: the garden of Seville oranges, growing around the elegant shaft in the center of the cloister, cannot fail to impress those entering from resigned entrance on Via Anicia and instill a strong sense of harmony and peace, in a step back in time very exciting. Right under the portico is the entrance to the Oratory of the brotherhood, which is a seventeenth-century coffered ceiling with coat of arms, and a cycle of frescoes with stories of the Virgin and Saint John the Baptist, the beginning of ' 600. The frescoes are interesting because they reveal the work of hands and different attitudes, some more cultured and academic papers (the bologenese Guido Signorini and by Gerolamo Mariotti) other more popular and expressive, in agreement with the port on which the environment complex once stood. Finally, the Church is of the form assumed in nineteenth-century makeover, but still inside the impressive funeral monument of the founder Meliaduce Cicada, by Andrea Bregno.
