  • A short distance from Piazza Venezia you will meet this church. Rome is the city of fountains and places of worship. This church would certainly not pass "unnoticed" if it were in any other place, but in Rome they are all beautiful. This one has wonderful works and frescoes. It's worth the visit.

  • This church, located between the Pantheon and Altare della Patria, is the mother church for the order of the Jesuits. This church has an interesting façade, designed in 1575 by della Porta and has bee...  more »
  • The official name of the Gesù church is "Chiesa del Santissimo Nome di Gesù Al'rgenina". I dropped in on the way to the Pantheon when I went down from Piazza Campidlio, but the door was closed because it was time to close from 12:30 to 16:00 at the afternoon time. Japan is a church where Xavier sleeps in the deep edge, and it is a Jesuit chapel built for the first time in Rome, and its façade is also called the most true Baroque façade of the world. It was a pity that it was closed, but this time I gave up and decided to take a good look at the façade.

  • First impression, small church and with no taste, BUT when.you go.Inside, your mind is blown. Incredible detail and paintings all over the ceiling. Definitely worth it. Still, it is one of the most beautiful churches I have seen, artistically speaking
  • Beautiful, inside and out! St. Ignatius of Loyola is a favorite saint of mine, which made my visit even more memorable. I recommend visiting this splendid church! You’ll be glad you did! As I recall, it’s not very far from the Pantheon.
  • Not a well known church but discovered by chance and an incredible find. Beautiful frescoes and moulding details with a rich pallette of colours. Definitely worth a visit you will not be disappointed.
  • Visited the Sistine Chapel and St Peters Bassilica yesterday, but this may be my favorite. The ceiling fresco is unlike any I've ever seen. Add in the ornate statues, gold and chapels. Incredible. Also not busy.
  • Wonderful paintings as you walk around. Was lucky enough to have an expert with me to explain everything really well.
