  • Only with a guided tour, but one there not long and getting lost-dug 13 miles of underground graves. interesting ancient frescoes, the first image of the Virgin. Fotkat forbid, sell postcards and booklets. Interesting after heaps of cathedrals and palaces resemble the Dungeon.

  • Pretty cool to see the catacombs but the tour is pretty quick and access is pretty limited. Worth doing though to see what it's like and how vast they are.  more »
  • I had the pleasure and good fortune to be able to visit with a private guide and exclusive evening opening of the site. Really very interesting and impressive. The Guide ushered us into the historical period and in view of the time to better make us realize the importance of the catacombs at the time. Even for us Romans, if you have not made the visit is hard to imagine the vastness of the site under the ground. Really impressive and in some places very well preserved.

  • One of the most interesting places we visited. It's not a bad idea to have one of those keyring torches in your pocket. It has lots of dark nooks and passages.
  • Very impressive tour and also not so overcrowded. We were only 5 people plus the guide and all in all it was very impressive. The place and his history ( katakomb with more than 40000 graves ) is just breathtaking.
  • Enjoyed this very much. Lots of history here and a break from the sun! Something different and worth going to see even though it's far from the city center.
  • Lovely site and great tour but a bit boring compared to other catacomb tours i have done in other cities.
  • Great alternative to the Appian Way catacombs, although a little out of the way with not much around.
