  • Really interesting visit to Roman houses beneath church. We booked a tour guide Dario and I would recommend as he brought the property to life with his explanations of the changes that had occurred to...  more »
  • Recommended by a colleague I went to see the houses the cælian Hill, finding them is not easy but the path and the goal is worth the whole way. Are located near the basilica di Ss Giovanni e Paolo al celiio, dr you happen it says 8 parking revenue doove metres below there is a temple of Jupiter sadly in ruins and not valued as it should but deserves at least the vision. Back on the road at the bottom on the right there is the entrance of the Museum, really to see Roman frescoes still remain in good condition. The Roman villas had to be of unique works of beauty.

  • For the price and out of the way location, there's not much to see here. The best part is the view of the arches located at street level. For a better experience, visit the excavation under Basilica San Clemente.
  • Fascinating place and little traffic from mass tourism. Pity that Tuesday and Wednesday are closed, I could not visit the Church of San Giovanni e Paolo.

  • Amazing place, with Roman frescoes between paganism and Christianity preserved fine and interspersed with nineteenth-century altars

  • These remains of Roman houses are located in a beautiful location not far from the Colosseum, under the Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo and well worth a visit along with other emergencies in the area, even if they contain no frescoes, mosaics and House of quality. Visiting in the morning and the afternoon five days a week, for those who prefer independently or with a guide and any other initiatives (aperitifs, events, recitations, music), all with reservation and supplement. There is restaurant business. You can find car park (for an additional fee on weekdays) and services at a distance.
