  • A friend came to visit me in Rome and got the idea to visit this wonderful house just next to the Spanish steps. I was not that enthusiastic at first since I'm not really such a huge fan of Chirico......  more »
  • Living in the hotel Hassler on Spanish steps, could not fail to visit this wonderful Museum my favourite surrealist Giorgio de Chirico in the neighborhood girl-guide conducted an excellent tour of his house and Studio, his work is astonishing. There are practically no tourists in the Museum, it is a pity that very few people interested in the life and work of the Italian master-friend of Picasso and Dali.

  • I passed in front of this door it hundreds of times, is to walk around it to go and take the Metro in the nearby station. I had never noticed the plaque, to be honest with the lettering faded, carved with the inscription "Fondazione Giorgio e Isa De Chirico-House Museum". But so be it: you never stop learning. With a cultural association in Rome, but you can come alone as the House-Museum is a guide always present, we enjoyed this beautiful visit in a really intimate and cozy. First of all, the building is very characteristic, I recommend after walking down the stairs to watch and photograph the courtyard very but very quaint. And then the apartment of this pair so famous. You walk into the lobby and De Chirico fills us with itself: wonderful paintings hanging on the walls recall the most prolific at his age. And then the first and second Hall with paintings sculptures and Windows that look out onto the square of Spain, also, for visutale, of works of art. And the cart of liquor with Punt e Mes bottle half full, photograph of a bygone age but yet so close to generations, like mine, who remember him. Climbing upstairs the feeling of intimacy becomes even more acute. Here's the double bedroom and single bedroom with single bed, where the writer sometimes took refuge and finally the study, in which he expressed his artistic flair, remained intact as it was ... illuminated by the skylight above the terrace, however, us visitors, we cannot access for security reasons but from which, you can imagine, the famous painter, worked with the view on a beautiful Trinità dei Monti.
