  • I highly recommend visiting this House-museum especially if Moravia has been read. Exciting to visit the place, remained as the writer left it, with his furniture, his paintings, his kitchen, etc..... The visit lasts about an hour, is guided and costs 5 euros per person. Very interesting the pictorial works preserved here, including the portrait performed by Guttuso.

  • Long ago that I want to make the visit that is available by reservation the first Saturday of each month. This time I traveled to Rome earlier this month and I on Saturday, October 7 access to guided tour. It was an enriching experience to take home enter in their creative environment, details of her life, paintings and furniture, see the desktop where I worked, the terrace, what he saw from that Department on the 5th floor. I recommend it! And I humbly suggest to whom it may concern that it provides for the possibility of extending the days of visit since it is not easy to access for those who don't live there.

  • The first thing that hits you upon entering the House by Alberto Moravia (which is now a House Museum) is a large and magnificent picture of Mario Schifano (the two artists were friends) that dominates the entrance: beautiful. The whole House is full of fine paintings, including the famous portrait of the writer made by Guttuso and some works of Moravia's sister, Adriana Pincherle. New paintings in the collection are retained by the Foundation and pity not to see them. Then there are the books, thousands of all kinds of books reflecting the culture and the curiosity of the writer who loved the stories, travel, beauty, ideas. The nicer room of this home simple, beautiful and bourgeois is the study with a desk created for him by a friend the sculptor and the view over the Tiber. Moravia died in 1990 but thanks to his books and to this charming little Museum is always here, is still alive.

  • Visit the House of Alberto Moravia is a bit like going to the House of a family friend who lived life intensely, and the feeling is that at any moment to walk out of any room and tell you a little bit.
