  • The tour had 3 parts, 2 of them with the guide (MARIO was GREAT!) and lastly you enter St. Peter's basilica on your own. The first two parts were nice, the guide takes you through the vatican city mus...  more »

  • Similar to others’ experience. We were told 10 minutes to get in. We bought our tickets at 12:15 and stood waiting for our tour to start at 12:30. We stood there in the heat until about 12:45, and then set off. It was 13:15 by the time we arrived at the actual museum (12 minutes walk from the Capriotti shop according to google maps). The guide couldn’t have walked any slower and it became clear that he was stalling to collect other groups who had bought tickets in different locations. Then we stood at the museum for a further 20 minutes or so waiting to get headsets etc. The guide brushed off any questions about this by saying the Vatican is a different country. This does not explain why it took over an hour for what should have been a 12 minute walk. And also, the Vatican has been a “different country for a long time now, one would imagine they’d have planned for this. When I questioned the company rep who was running around trying to organise what should be a pretty standard procedure, he said that it’s a 2 hour tour from the time we get in. We had another appointment we had to reschedule as we had been told we’d be finished by 14:30. He also said that it was very busy. Again, the Vatican museum being “very busy” in August is hardly an unforeseen event. When we were in the museum the guide was actually excellent but unfortunately this seems to be another company in Rome who know most of their customers won’t be returning anyway and so don’t really care about their experience. Take the time to find a reputable tour company or else do your own research and get there early.
  • I would not recommend a tour of the Vatican Museums with this company at all. The agent on the street told us with a skip the line ticket it would take 5 minutes to get in. Inside the shop on the wall it said 15 minutes, and in reality it took about an hour and a half. The group consisted of 45 people - they have multiple offices surrounding the Vatican and they combine all customers into one huge group. Our tour guide was very unfriendly and refused to answer any questions.
  • I loved it, the two ladies that helped me were very friendly and helpful. I felt like they were inside my head when I told them what gifts I wanted to buy and my price range on each gift. I bought fabulous gifts in Sterling silver and a beautiful necklace for myself of course. Can't wait to go back.
  • The are proffesional liars... Watch out! It doesnt include what they promise!!
  • Vatican tours from this place are a rip off. We booked Vatican Museum inc Sisterne Chapel plus St Peters Basilica for €36 per person. Tour started 15 mins late. Long talk (over 30 mins) outside the shop. Then walk to Vatican museum entrance. A half hour wait here while guide waited for a 'boy to come with voucher'. Did not enter the museum until 1 hour 30 mins after tour start time so it would have been much quicker and cheaper to just queue up and pay €12. Inside museum, tour was OK. Guide disappeared when we arrived at St Peters, which was fine because we were fed up by then, but if you wanted to know where various popes/saints are buried you might be disappointed.
