  • Rotondo's name implies, is a round church. Hanging Temple of all Saints Martyrs in, or hung, or stabbed me in the shop, pretty brutal scenes just so go prepared.

  • It is not always included in tours of Rome, despite being one of the most interesting and the most ancient. Original and rare-for Rome-circular layout. The Coliseum is a walk (less than a kilometer) to the Caelian Hill, near Villa Celimontana (to visit also. The religious order that holds the attention, published a study that highlighted the Kabbalistic Numerology and characteristics of the architecture of Santo Stefano Rotondo. Ask to purchase a copy. On Monday, you can't visit. Suggestion for TripAdvisor: review the question "this attraction is exciting, original or risky to visit?". The visit is certainly original, but risky.

  • Among the Celio and mountains, few know, a beautiful circular basilica preserved. Well worth a trip. Nearby churches in the "ship", Saints Peter and Paul "chandeliers" and the splendid Chiesa dei Santi quattro coronati. All in 5 minutes walking between them.

  • Unmissable: one of the oldest ROUND churches of Rome, very well hidden on Celio hill. Impressive frescoes with Christian martyrs being tortured .
  • Nice church, very different from others I have seen, because of its round shape. The entrance is a bit hard to find. Once you found it proofed closed. So orientate yourself on beforehand.

  • Very interesting but also a scary place.
  • The basilica of Santo Stefano Rotondo is a place of Catholic worship in the 5th century in Rome on the Caelian Hill, in rione Monti. He was also known as Santo Stefano in Girimonte, Santo Stefano in Querquetulano (because of its proximity to an Oak Grove), Santo Stefano in capita Africæ (because of its proximity to an ancient street called Caput Africæ).
