  • We sang the glory of Antonio Vivaldi in this Basilica that is very active in promoting various cultural activities, including good music. As soon as you enter, check out then who is to the origins of Marian devotion, with its Virgin who was one of the first apparitions recognized by the Church. Then you go and check out that to protect the altar there are two beautiful Angels by Bernini, the whole is dominated by beautiful frescoes in a dome that parallels the Borromini's Bell Tower. If you can not find some initiative you will be singing, not disappointed.

  • It is a quietly stands to the left of the alley from the Spain square heading to Fontana di Trevi, a small but very beautiful church. Once inside Chair turned to the left and a surprised, but this is because the "miracle of the Virgin Mary altar" and some followers who were doing prayers. I walked behind and headed to the altar, greets Angel on both sides. Angel statue to decorate the bridge of Bernini are two, too beautiful for Pope of the time reverts to Bernini's House was decorated here after it seems. Sculpture of Bernini in the Church can't quite near here, but this is just around the corner so you can see we snorkeled, such as facial expression and pose. It was a church, there are many small churches in the streets of Rome seems to overlook this church is worth.

  • +JMJ One of many of my favorite Churches to visit in Rome! When on my almost annual pilgrimage to Rome (2000-2009), this is one Church ALWAYS visited. I had been searching for this Church since 1995 and found it finally through the source of a secular travel magazine. I think I finally was able to visit it in 2000 or 2001. Anyway, I was earnestly seeking to visit because I was aware of a miraculous conversion affected in the life of an anti-Catholic man by the name of Alphonse Rattisbonne. He was later Baptized a Catholic, then became a priest who worked in the Holy Land with his brother who had converted to the Catholic faith and became a Catholic priest many years before.) Also, the Church had been visited by two of my favorite followers of Jesus Christ: Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and St Maximilian Kolbe (World War II martyr at Auschwitz). The Church is small and filled with beautiful works of art which will not be seen anywhere outside of its walls. As with many Churches, to me they are like spiritual oases, places to be spiritually refreshed through participation in the Holy Mass or just stopping in to be immersed in the peace of God's own Presence therein.
  • Impressive basilica with some great works of art and an oasis-like cloister.
  • A blessing to be at this beautiful basilica! A must go place when you visit Rome.
  • Thanks God can join the mass today

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
