  • monumental overall. The palace is almost anonymous but just crossed the portal, wonder, it lights up at the magnificent porticed courtyard, the beautiful pavement, one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Rome. To the left of the church in the building of Wisdom, a beautiful, frescoed classroom, intended to accommodate a precious heritage of documents and prepared to host exhibitions, conferences, conferences - Alexandrian.

  • The file is located in the central region of a historic building. The entrance is free. I visited an exhibition of rare works on immigration in Rome. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they individually explained to the visitors each exposed document and its history. No doubt, an unexpected gift.

  • The State Archive of Rome is located in the Palazzo della Sapienza (Palace of Wisdom), named for the Roman university schools, in the Renaissance were located were unified here. The building began to be built in 1562 and was completed, after several modifications, in 1667. It was only in 1936 that it was used for acutal use, as a State Archive. This efficiency, which on the outside does not attract too much attention, is free entry. On the first floor you can find the ceiling of the living room where there are always exhibitions (when I went there was one about the italian beers) whose roof is very nice. It is not dazzling but it is a masterpiece for those who like architecture.

  • Go in here! This is a famous courtyard, and it's usually open. You'll see Borromini's Sant'Ivo (Saint Yves) which is actually gorgeous, look at the curves and read up on that one. It's got a spiralling spire. Inside the courtyard is peace and quiet - this place is on any good list of hidden Rome.
  • The tower is the inspiration for the Church of Our Savior's Church at Christianshavn, Denmark. Look into the yard and look up.
  • I didn't learn much about Bura when I arrived, there were renovations, only opera and a number of concerts. It was a Roman archive building.
